Formation

The systems of play (soccer formations) are a set of guidelines for a team that governs their individual and collective movements. Commonly this is seen as a starting formation and then variations in the attacking and defensive phases. Different soccer formations can be used depending on whether a team wishes to play more attacking or defensive football.
