Sport psychology is a interdisciplinary science that can be equally applied to soccer that draws on knowledge from the fields of Kinesiology and Psychology. It involves the study of how psychological factors affect performance in football.

Motivation

In soccer, performance can be dramatically altered by a players motivation level. Without the motivation to succeed a footballer cannot survive the challenges and stresses of games and training.
