Diagram 1. Set-Up Arrangement
60x40 yrd grid. Size should be altered depending on the ability of the players. Play 7vs7 (+2 Gks). Balls should be placed at the side of the grid to keep the game going quickly when the ball is knocked out. Kick-ins on the sides when the ball is played out of bounds.
The 7 outfield players on each team attempt to maintain possession of the ball for 7 passes and then play the ball into the goalkeepers hands for point. First team to score 5 points is the winner. After a point the goalkeeper feeds the ball to the team which was scored on. In the example above:
A1 passes to A2 after 7 successful consecutive passes.
A2 receives the ball and chips the ball up into the nearest GK which is GK1. He/she, could also have played a long aerial pass into GK2.
Quick ball movement.
Opening up to support team mates.
