20x20 yrd grid. Nine balls are placed in the centre of the grid. Players are distributed around the corners of the grid into 4 teams (Team A-D).
Players play as individuals or teams depending on the coaches objectives (i.e. combine to colours).
Players attempt to get 3 balls back to their corner of the grid. Players can only sprint and carry the balls in their hands one at a time.
Players are allowed to steal balls from other corners (again, only one at a time). if playing the team version it is the first team to get 6 balls back to either players cone (combination of both cones, i.e. 4 at one and 2 at the other). In the above diagram, one player goes and retrieves and when he/she gets back the other player goes.
Team with the most balls retrieved after a set period.
Quickness and Agility.
Emphasize good team work and support.
Allow tackling (rugby style). Be sure to emphasis good tackling technique before attempting.
Have the same player play the whole game (i.e. player A1 plays the whole first game and then player 2 the next game). This makes the game more of a aerobic fitness drill.
